If you are planning a major, high-impact plot - you must receive approval before the plot begins. This rule will apply to any storyline that significantly affects other characters, Clans or groups, or site lore - especially those involving sensitive topics or supernatural elements. This ensures fairness, consistency, and cohesion across the Wingbeats universe. Not only that, but it ensures major events are fair and balanced, helps our Staff team coordinate with overlapping or large-scale storylines (especially ones we are also running!) and protect players from uncomfortable or unexpected content. We promise we aren't trying to stifle your creativity, we're helping your ideas come to fruition!
But, not all plots need staff approval! Small plots, like ones that involve a few characters and do not break our warrior code, typically do not require approval unless their consequences extend far beyond those characters or have a noticeable impact on at least one Clan. Larger plots, however, do require approval. These include any storyline that directly or indirectly affects an entire Clan (or multiple Clans), changes site lore, or involves mature, sensitive, or supernatural elements.
Examples of plots that would require approval:
Code-breaking (murder, betrayal, or other serious violations of the warrior code - not like crossing the border!)
Forbidden Romances (cross-Clan or medicine cat relationships)
Serious harm, neglect, or abuse (especially toward kits, apprentices, or queens)
Rank or leadership changes (leadership disputes, banishment, deputy changes)
Clan-wide or inter-Clan conflicts (wars, alliances, or major tensions)
Territory or lore changes (natural disasters, large discoveries, or permanent setting alterations)
You can submit a plot for approval by creating a thread in this board using the template below! You may post a public version of your plot thread with any spoiler or sensitive information marked as "[REDACTED]"... But, you need to send the fully detailed version with all redacted details included to our team at minimum! Wait for staff approval before you begin any roleplay threads related to the plot. Every approved plot must have a public thread on the forum to serve as the official record and reference point for players and staff.
